1. DONT TRY TO GET THE EGGS WHEN THEY ARE SITTING ON THEM!  THEY WILL BITE YOU!

2. We make sure there is only 3-4 eggs left in the next at any given time.  If they get upwards of 10-15 eggs they will stopp laying and start sitting.  When they sit, they DO NOT come off the next!

3. We collect the eggs when we turn them out from the pen to graze.  We shut the door then grab the eggs. typicaly we get about 75 eggs each spring.

4. You can stand the eggs upright in a bed of sand in the cellar and let them dry out.  The insides will dry up in about 6-8 months depending on the humidity.
OR
5. You can blow out the eggs and save that for eating but then your egg has a hole in it.

6. Sell on Ebay or other markets to craft people.  The Checks are the ones that make super awesome ornaments out of them by painting and dying them.  Kesanki I think is what they call it but I am guessing my spelling is all wrong.

7. Create some kind of pond for them to swim in and when you drain it you can recover the piles of sedimant for the garden.  It makes great fertalizer.

Are they laying eggs now?  Normally Geese dont start laying until March.

Having a pond for them to swim in and mate helps speed up the laying!  Our pond is a giant fertilizer tub with the to cut off.  Probably 5 foot diameter and about 2 feet deep. Works perfect for what they need.  I have bricks stacked as steps in front of it for them to get in and out.

Eqaul to about three chicken eggs but they are a little rubbery compared to a chicken egg so stopped tyring to eat them.

What breed did you get?  Ours are African.  We had Taluse before but they are MEAN!

Were down to 5 chicken hens as the weasels got three of our best hens about two months ago.  Realy put a hurt on our egg collectoin.  We will get some more layers this spring.

We "TRY" to do it once a week in the summer time and if we can do it every 2-3 weeks in the winter we are doing good.

We collect the crap from the bottom of the pool and use it as fertilizer.  ITS GREAT STUFF for the garden!
