End Grain Osage Cutting Board

I made this cutting board for my Mom last Christams.  I used Osage Orange and it is end grain!

 I made a center counter that my wife can move around the kitchen, using Oloche' end grain blocks, and, Tamarindo, edge all around. Ojoche' shrunk, and the Tamarindo edge has spaces in it. Wife just stores "STUFF" on it, anyway.  ::) ::)

Simply cut 2x2 blocks, turn them on end so the endgrain is the top, use a flat surface with a square back and glue up a row as long as you want the block to be.  Once that block is dried, glue up the next row and glue it to the first one.  Follow those steps until you have the size block you want.

Once done I ran the whole thing through the planer and presto, end grain cutting board!

Mine was made with 2x2 blocks, (2" square blocks) for the whole thing and then when I was done with the glue up I ran it through the paner then cut 1" off each side on the table saw, thus the border became 1x2 block.
